A bay filly by Ide named TENSAS YUCATAN sold for $270,000 to James Spence in the final moments Tuesday to top the Fasig-Tipton Texas Two-Year-Old in Training Sale at Lone Star Park. Consigned by Twin Oaks Training Center, agent, as Hip No. 308, the Louisiana-bred is the second foal out of Xylophone (Dehere), who is a half-sister to stakes victress Joyous Song.

The filly drilled an eighth-mile in a bullet :10 at the at the under tack show on April 2.

4/2/06 - A filly by Ide and a colt Officer by each breezed a furlong in :10 flat on Sunday during the Fasig-Tipton Texas two-year-olds in training sale under tack show at Lone Star Park. The Ide filly, named Tensas Yucatan and consigned by Twin Oaks Training Center, agent, is the second foal out of the placed Dehere mare Xylophone.

I must say he gave FEET a good run.

FEET is now the only horse in Barbados to have won so many races - 19 including this Saturday and 20 if the dispute over the 2004 gold cup stays in his favor."

Steephollow Farms, agent, consigned the IDE filly that tied for the quickest one-eighth mile time, The filly is out of the multiple graded stakes-winning Relaunch mare Gray Cashmere.

3/19/05 - Batson Challenge c. 3, Ide - Motion in Limine, by Temperence Hill became a new graded stakes horses for his sire while running third in the hotly contested REBEL S.(G3) at Oaklawn for owner/breeder Richard E. Griffin. Batson Challenge checked in just behind major Kentucky Derby contenders Greater Good and Rockport Harbor.

3/02/05 - FEET ON FLAMES h. 6, Ide—As We Sing, by Seattle Song remains on fire winning the XXIV $200,000 SANDY LANE BARBADOS GOLD CUP S. (G1) for the second year in a row. In last year's event he actually ran second and was placed first but this year his nose crossed the wire in front. FEET ON FLAMES was named both 2004 Champion Imported Horse and Horse Of The Year.
"In a prestigious race beamed world wide, FEET ON FLAMES went wire to wire to win by three and a quarter lengths in convincing style with his ears pricked."

3/04/05 - OUR REVIVAL, M. 5, Ide - Flashy Revival by Grand Revival won an allowance optional claiming race at Oaklawn Park and raised her earnings over $100,000.

2/20/05 - BATSON CHALLENGE, c. 3, Ide - Motion in Limine, by Temperence Hill won an Allowance race at Oaklawn Park for owner/breeder Richard E. Griffin He won by an easy 2 1/2 lengths. His record now stands at 5-2-0-0, $36,465. BATSON CHALLENGE is a Half to MOVANT($137,865) and Brazen Bride($151,974).

2/17/05 - GAIL'S DRIVE, g, 7 , Ide - Gail`s Brush by Broad Brush made his 50th start a winning one at Aqueduct. In doing so he raised his earnings to $294,340.

2/14/05 - IDE PICKS UP 2 MAJOR AWARDS in BARBADOS

Ide's son, FEET ON FLAMES h. 6, Ide—As We Sing, by Seattle Song, stole the spotlight by “running away” with two top awards when the Barbados Turf Club’s Garrison Turf Awards for 2004 took place at Sandy Lane Country Club.

The Clayton Greenidge-trained, Luther Miller III owned six-year-old won the Champion Imported Horse, and the crème de la crème Horse Of The Year titles from a number of other outstanding contenders.

Feet On Flames had also won the Champion Imported Horse Of The Year title in 2003, and he retained it again this year by beating off stablemates Peace Angel and Storm Hunter.

Feet On Flames’ 2004 outstanding record included four wins showing great versatility while winning at three different distances.

2/06/05 - FEET ON FLAMES h. 6, Ide—As We Sing, by Seattle Song ran third in the Coolmore Stakes in Barbados, recognized there as a G1 stakes.

1/31/05 - IDE BE A LADY, f. 4, Ide - True Chompion, by True Colors romped to an easy win in an allowance race on the turf at the FAIR GROUNDS for owners S B B A Stable, G. Springer, T. Bailey, E. Bates, and B. Allen and breeder Longfield Farm (Ky.).
Ide Be a Lady broke quickly and after a quarter-mile opened a five-length lead before relaxing a bit in the middle and then coasted home unthreatened to win by 3 3/4lengths in 1:46.61 in her first win in a two-turn race.Ide Be a Lady was making her seasonal debut as a four-year-old and scored her first win since August. She has three wins from 13 starts for earnings of $88,865. The daughter of Ide is a half sister to graded stakes-placedwinners Mollie Creek and Naskra Colors, the latter being thedam of multiple Grade 3 winner Sir Shackleton.

FRONT-RUNNING VICTORY: The Fair Grounds' turf course has a reputation for being unkind to front-runners, but Ide Be a Lady led all the way in winning the allowance feature Monday. She finished strongly, running the final sixteenth of a mile in 6.42 seconds.

Ide Be a Lady was racing for the second time since November.

In March of 2004 FEET ON FLAMES, h. 5, Ide—As We Sing, by Seattle Song ran a strong second in the prestigeous Barbados Gold Cup at GARRISON SAVANNAH in Barbados. The order of finish was recently changed due to the disqualification of the winner and FEET ON FLAMES was declared the winner. 12/20 - New York Bred IDE GOT STYLE, c. 3, Ide- Wavering Style, by Wavering Monarch broke his maiden at Aqueduct. for owner/breeder Alfred Romito (N.Y.)and raised his earnings to $57,155.

12/07 - Batson Challenge, c 2, Ide - Motion in Limine by Temperence Hill won a MSW at Turfway Park in his tird start for owner/breeder Richard E. Griffin.

12/3 - BLACKINTON, g, 4, Ide--Tackstem, by Seattle Slew, won an allowance/optional claiming race at Hawthorne Park. This is his 6th lifetime win. His earnings stand at $157,580 for owner Win IV LLC.and breeeder Willmott Stable (KY). This consistent gelding has won his last 2 starts at 6 1/2 furlongs. In 4 prior starts he ran second from a mile to a mile and 1/8.

10/17 - April’s Lucky Boy g. 5, Ide—Poppies and Wheat, by Lost Code kept up the pressure running third in the BROTHER BROWN S. at Remington Park for owner breeder Kelly Thiesing.
His earnings now stand at $222,835.

9/25 - April`s Lucky Boy ran second in the Oklahoma Classics Turf S at Remington Park for owner/breeder Kelly Thiesing raising his earnings to $218,135. He is trained by Donnie Von Hemel.

9/4- Our Revival, f. 4, Ide - Flashy Revival, by Grand Revival won an allowance at Suffolk Downs raising her earnings to
$81,249.

8/28 - Ide had a big day at the races today:
Cariboo Prospector . g. 3, Ide - Foxey’s Finest, by Private Account dead heated for third at the CANADIAN DERBY (Can-G3) at Northlands Park. This consistent gelding has been on the board 9 out of 11 starts.

Ide also got an impressive 2 YO wiiner, his second, as Alyde, c. 2, Mimicry, by Alysheba won off by 4 going 7 furlongs at Ellis Park in his second start. He was chosen as "Notable" by the Thoroughbred Times Today.

On the same day at ARLINGTON PARK Ide Be a Lady, f. 3, Ide - True Chompion, by True Colors won a nice allowance race for owner S B A Stable and breeder Longfield Farm (Ky.).

8/22- Ide Be Gone g. 4, Ide - Raphael Rose, by Pro Consul ran second in the $104,000 Izvestia S at Woodbine improving his earnings to $234,763 for owner The Very Dry Stable. The super consistant gelding has been on the board in 9 of his 16 starts.

7/24 - Ide had a Thoroughbred Times notable winner when first 2 YO starter of the year, CLEAR TO CLOSE c. 2, New Wave, by Dynaformer won in his second start at Ellis Park for owner Fast and Easy Racing LLC and breeder Lavin Bloodstock (Ky.). He was a $25,000 2003 KEESEP yearling and is out of the stakes-winning Dynaformer mare New Wave.

7/18 - Robotica, f, 4 Ide - Comic by Black Tie Affair (Ire) became a new stakes filly for her sire running 3rd in a $100,000 stakes race at Fort Erie for owner Thomas J. Country, Jr.and breeders Elizabeth Lickrish & Gordon Lickrish.

Hastings for breeder Nancy C. Shuford and owners George Gilbert and Raymond Hanson.

6/27 - IDE BE GONE, g. 4, Ide - Raphael Rose, by Pro Consul. captured a $72,200 allowance race at Woodbine raising hisearnings to $213,963. He beat the 2-5 favorite ORGAN GRINDER by Grindstone who was jsut coming off a stakes win at Woodbine.

6/26 -CALENDS, h. 5, Ide -Pegasara, by Lord Gaylord. won for the 9th time in The Alison K. McClay MemorialHandicap at Penn National. He ran fractions of 21 3/5, 44 2/5, 56 3/5, 109 3/5 for the six furlongs improving his margin at every pole to win by 5 1/2 lengths and raised his earnings over $275,000. He has been on the board 21 out of 28 starts.

6/6 - Miss Santa Anita, f, 4, Ide - Smarty Smart, by Smarten ran third in the SWEET BRIAR TOO S.at Woodbine.She has raised her earnings over $215,000.

5/11 - Idadidit, M, 5, Ide - Moonlight Ridge, by Cox's Ridg ran second in the $75,000 Hancock County H at Mountineer Park. She has earned over $150,000 to date.

3/6 - FEET ON FLAMES, h. 5, Ide—As We Sing, by Seattle Song ran second in the prestigeous GARRISON SAVANNAH in Barbados.

2/10 - Bill Oppenheim charts IDE as a top 10 stallion with first foals of 1998 by APEX, ABC Runner Index and also by ABC runners with 150+ year-starters.






2/4 - In his column in the Thoroughbred Daily News, Bill Oppenheim said:

Only an average sire of A and B Runners (and don't ask about his two-year-olds--0.26 from his Kentucky crops), but 2.51 for C Runners (that was $51,000 last year, thank you), and 2.12 for three-year-old ABC's (mostly C's, in his case). Val Murrell and Clear Creek's first good buy out of Kentucky, and a great sire for Louisiana at $2,500--even though they've been much better older so far.

1/1- Literary Light, F. 00, out of Smithie (by Beau Genius) ran a nice 4th in the Interborough H. at Aqueduct. She won a $56,000 allowance race also at Aqueduct in her prior start and beofre that was graded stakes placed in the Floral Park H.(G3). Her record dtands at 22-8-5-2 with earnings of $303,766$56,000.
